We visited Malacca or Melaka, I've seen it written a couple of different ways. 

It's a short drive from KL and perfect for a day trip. I'll blog more about our actual visit later,
but for now I want to share the beautiful Mosque that is there. 

The Malacca Straits Mosque was opened in 2006.

This place was magnificent and I can only imagine how magnificent it would look at night. It sits practically on the shore of the ocean and from distance looks as if it's rising from the water. 

I would be lying if I didn't say that the whole trip would have been worth it, 

if we only came to see this beauty.
