On the second day of our Eid holiday we were invited to a couple of
open houses with new Malay friends we had made.
In honor of our new country I decided it would be nice to wear their traditional dress.
Although this is not the typical baju kurung that is worn usually.
I liked the look of the tunic and the bottom was a sarong rather than a typical skirt.
It took me a while to figure out how to wrap it and the male sales worker was of no help.
I really liked the simplicity and elegance of this type of dress.
This pink color wasn't my first option, it was all they had left.
Are you beginning to notice I'm not a fan of bright colors?
Yeah... well I'm trying to slowly break out of that shell.

  2. I've always been a fan of the long tunic + long skirt look. Very nice and elegant. I don't understand your aversion to bright colors, this bright pink suits you well :)
