Batu caves is one of the most popular shrines outside of India.
It's 140 ft gold Hindu statue can be seen off  of the highway.
The 272 steps will carry you up into the caves where you will be greeted by monkeys anxiously
waiting to jump at any sight of a plastic bag in your hand, it's a sign of food for them.

After climbing the steep steps, the cool breeze of the caves is a nice welcome from the harsh KL sun.
You can walk through the light filled cave to find a small and unadorned temple.
 You'll also find more monkeys!
