We didn't make it to any events.
But we felt the need to be among the excitement, considering how close it is to us.
We met up with some friends that live in downtown Vancouver. Right across the street from their apartment the city had set up some free events. We stood in line, a lot.
It was really cool to see how the streets just filled with people, like ants on an ant hill. Serious.

Huge line went around the corner as well.

If you watched the live concerts on tv this is where some of them played.
