Do you have someone you admire, a role model, a HERO!?
Like in real life?
I do.
Her name is Stephanie Nielson

She is an amazing mother, wife and human being.

I emailed Stephanie almost three years ago, when both our husbands were fulfilling a dream of learning to fly

She was cool enough to feature me on her blog when
I spent a summer abroad in Jerusalem
It was while I was there that I found out about the devastating news
I had never met Stephanie yet I had the sudden urge to fly to Arizona and be with her.
Weird, right? Well not if you know her through her blog.
She has a way of making you feel like you're her BFF.
She has an amazingly contagious spirit.  No doubt about it.

I have still to meet Stephanie (we'll make it work one of these days) and although her face does not look the way it used to when I first "met" her, I see past that and I don't even think about it.
Because she's a
Super-Star!
Her whole family is, really.

I {heart} Mormons
I'm Muslim and I approve this message.

Watch and be in awe of this wife and husband who live to prove that above all obstacles in life, Faith will bring you through.

  2. Stephanie is very inspirational indeed. I am so glad to hear that you have had such good experiences with members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons), because I am one too. :)
Every one of the Muslims that I have personally known have been wonderful people too.
I hope it will work out to meet NieNie someday.
(My brother is working on his pilot's license too.)

  3. Seeing how Stephanie deals with life makes you really put things into perspective. When I get the urge to feel depressed about my weight or something so trival I think about Stephanie and her daily struggle with pain just to be alive. I remember a few months ago you e-mailed me about information on China. Are you going? If so I hope you have a fantastic time.
